Happy Shores Log Cabin on Spooner Lake

Spooner, Wisconsin, United States

Enjoy your own rustic lakefront Log Cabin nestled between tall pines on the sunny shores of Spooner Lake. This cozy (1,000 sq. ft.) newly remodeled cabin features all the modern amenities you want, with the charm and character of a true Up-North Log Cabin. Fish right off the dock, paddleboard, rent or bring your own boat, or just relax and watch the incredible sunsets over the lake. You will never want to leave! Just 7 minutes from quaint downtown Spooner, the location couldn't be better.brbr**Please read full description AND ALL HOUSE RULES before reserving**brbrFrom the moment you drive down the long, tree lined driveway you will feel your stress melt away. The inside of this rustic cabin is packed with luxurious details including a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a cozy dining area, vaulted ceilings with skylights in the living room and a gorgeous view of the lake. There are two generous sized bedrooms, a private half bath in the primary bedroom, large main bath with rainfall shower and handheld body spray, and a bunk room with individual reading lights in each of the 4 bunks. Cedar and log walls throughout the cabin give that cozy, up north vibe.brbrOutdoors you can enjoy 100 feet of level, sandy beachfront and a long dock just begging to be fished and jumped off. Bring your boat and cruise around the 1132 acre lake- tubing, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding or just lounging- the fun is endless. There is a firepit for roasting smores and a large deck with ample seating overlooking the lake. The deck is the perfect spot to relax and bask in the charms of nature with family and friends over a meal. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the swans float by or watch the sunset over the lake from the deck, the dock or in the hammock while you read a book.brbrDowntown Spooner is just a 7 minute drive away for small town shops, eateries or the brewery. In the winter- Spooner Lake has great ice fishing that isn’t over-populated and Washburn County is well known for its miles and miles of snowmobile trails.brbrThere is something for everyone at this little Log Cabin- welcome to our Happy Place.brbr***IMPORTANT:brThis is a family owned log cabin. We took a huge leap and bought it during the pandemic, renovated it and put all our love and energy into it to be able rent it out for other people to enjoy when we are not using it. We want people to be able relax, explore, and decompress at our little log cabin. We hope you sit on the deck with a cup of coffee, reading a good book overlooking the lake, feeling the sun touching your shoulders- and know that it's God telling you how much you are loved, just as you are. We want to share our little slice of happiness with others. When you stay with us, we will treat you like family- which includes expecting you to be respectful of the neighbors who are also our friends, respecting the nature and wildlife that lives here with us, and being a good human. This is a very, very quiet area, please be aware of that before booking- NO PARTIES or events. Quiet hours are between 9pm and 8am. brbrPlease also note- There is NO air-conditioning. We do get a nice cross breeze off the lake at night, and there are extra fans under the beds in the bunk room and in the Queen bedroom closet. If you need more heat in the winter the Thermostat is on the wall by the bathroom, and space heaters in the closet in the Queen bedroom. It gets pretty toasty in the bedrooms, especially if the doors are closed.brbrbrPlease only book if you are comfortable with such a stay and agree to all policies and house rules- brbrNO PARTIES OR EVENTS- Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am to respect neighbors. brbrWI-FI: We do have Wi-Fi- it's not great. We have the best that is available in the area, but it is just ok. It works off cell phone towers, so it is incoveniently placed next to the glass sliding door for the best service. Hot tip- If you are trying to work on a computer and watch Netflix at the same time you will want to make sure your phones are not connected to the network. brbrFIRES: You will need to purchase local firewood (Kwik Trip has bundles) and check fire danger warnings before making fires outside. Keep fire inside firepit. All fires must be extinguished when you leave them.brbrTRASH/RECYCLING: Trash pickup comes on Thursdays- if your stay falls over a Thursday, we ask that you put your trash in the red trash bin Wednesday night. There are metallic garbage cans outside on the side of the cabin for you to store garbage before your departure. Please make sure the lids are on tight, so the animals don't get into it.brbrWINTER VISITS: There is a shovel on the property. You may need to shovel a path to from your vehicle to the door area. A plow is sent for any snow over 2 inches. The driveway makes an excellent sled area:-)brbrMIND THE WILDLIFE: To prevent mice, do not leave food out. Clean up all crumbs and spills right away. We work very hard to prevent mice but, being a cabin in the woods, they will be attracted to the heat of the cabin particularly if food remnants are available. There are bears in the area so do not leave food outside overnight or you may have visitors. There was a fox that lived under the deck- we have lovingly named her Dottie Fern. She had babies a few years ago and a few of them live in the area. The neighbors in the big house in the woods leave scraps out for her and you can see her lounging in the sun there sometimes.brbrNO EATING OR DRINKING IN THE BEDROOMS- we don't want bugs and mice in the cabin.brbrIT IS A CABIN- there are gross bugs, lots of sand from the beach, and other crawlies that will get in if you don't keep the doors closed. There is a broom, vacuum and swiffer in the Queen Bedroom closet if you wish to use it during your stay.brbrSEPTIC AND WELL- We have a sand point well and a septic system. Please DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet or put anything down the drains, or it can cause a backup of the septic. Flushable wipes are a no-no. The water has been tested and is safe for drinking- the test results are in the cabin manual at the cabin, or feel free to message for results. A big jug of bottled water is also provided for drinking. brbrNO CLEANING FISH IN THE CABIN- I don't like it, it's gross. There is a white folding table in the outside closet you can use to clean them. Use it outside, and thoroughly wash it and return it to it's place after use.brbrTHE DOCK/LAKE-brThe lake is weedier by nature, which makes it amazing for fishing. We have an Aqua Thruster from midnight to 4 or 5am- it is basically a huge underwater fan that helps to blow the weeds away from the beach/swimming area. DO NOT TOUCH IT OR LET YOUR CHILDREN HANG ON IT. It can be dangerous to touch if it is running, and it is stupidly expensive so even if it's not running or dangerous, we don't want it broken. Basically, pretend it doesn't exist- it won't bother you if you don't bother it. If you have any questions about it, please let us know! brbrNO UNREGISTERED GUESTS ALLOWED- we want you to enjoy your time here with friends and family! Just register them under your reservation when you book. Reach out with any questions! brbrWASH YOUR DISHES BEFORE CHECK OUT-there is a dish drying rack in the cabinet to the right of the sink. We supply dish soap, dish towels and a fresh scrubby for you to use during your stay. Once again, we don't want to invite mice and bugs in by leaving food out and our cleaners may not always be available to clean immediately after check out. brbrbrGuest accessbrThere is a very long, skinny driveway to the cabin and plenty of parking beside the cabin. DO NOT park on the septic system- it will be marked off with sticks.

Cabin

Triangle in the Woods

Spooner, Wisconsin, United States

Summary:brEnjoy the magic of this groovy four season A-frame cabin that sits hilltop to Lake Lipsett in Spooner, Wisconsin. Modern with that wink of cabin kitsch inside, this cozy spot can fit 6 people. This spot has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, an open kitchen, wood stove, full lower-level with kitchenette, and a big deck that sits in the trees out back, you may hear the neighbor Eagle singing to you in the morning. A perfect getaway for those solo-adventurers, work-from-homers, or group getaways.brbrThe Space:brOutside to enjoy there's a 6-person sauna, gas grill, fire pit, and plenty of snow shoes for snow-romping. The cabin has a long dock with a sundeck for day-lounging or keeping your own boat at as this lake has public access for all the water shenanigans. This spot is filled with games, craft supplies, movies and art books, we've got you covered on rainy days. Great fishing on-site (popular for ice-fishing) and trails, antiques, and restaurants nearby.brbrThe Neighborhood:brWhile the water frontage may not be suitable for swimming (due to shallow waters and abundant lilly pads), there are lots of other ways to enjoy Lake Lipsett, including fishing, kayaking, canoeing (both available on-site) or simply taking in the scenery dockside and watch a sunset. Experience a rare, ecologically intact lake. The shoreline of Lake Lipsett hasn’t been denuded of its natural flora, and the lake inhabitants have equally remained intact. Watch sand cranes, loons, and turtles and the occasional eagle enjoy the lake as they’ve always done. We’ve elected to sacrifice a swimming area so as to keep our natural shoreline in favor of biodiversity.
