As you come into the house, there’s a bright and cheerful living room all decked out in beige and red, with a stone wood-burning fireplace (duraflame logs only and NOT provided) centered on the main wall. The tongue and groove cathedral ceiling adds a lot of rustic character, and French doors bring in loads of natural light, while providing access to the expansive deck on the back side of the house. Your fully-equipped kitchen extends off the living room, and the open design means that not a word of conversation, or a view of the winning touchdown on the big screen TV will be missed just because someone went to the kitchen for a snack. Pretty cabinetry, a stainless steel side-by-side fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and smooth-top range offers all the conveniences you likely left back home…but isn’t it more fun playing house in a different location We certainly think so!brbrThe bedroom features a queen-size log frame bed and matching dresser, but there’s also a few antique pieces thrown in for interest and convenience, and guests will also appreciate the door that goes out to the deck, too. Off to the side is the beautiful kitchen, complete with stainless steel side-by-side fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and stove, plus all the small counter top appliances you might need, as well. What a treat to experiment with recipes old and new in such a nice cooking space! Once you’ve finished the last bite, mosey out to the back porch some digestion and discussion time together…from here you can overlook the secluded wooded setting with its campfire area, and horseshoe pit.brbrWhoever calls dibs on the master bedroom (king) will surely enjoy the cozy log-framed king size bed, (all log beds and bedside tables were hand-crafted by the owner), for a restful night’s sleep. As you enter the main living area you will come into the fully stocked kitchen with stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, farm style sink, complimentary coffee area, toaster, blender and more. brWe have 3 private bedrooms all with queen memory foam mattresses, plenty of pillows (hard and soft), extra blankets for your comfort and stay cool with the ceiling fans. brThe master bedroom is on the first floor and has its own private fireplace, walkout patio doors to the deck overlooking the pond, smart TV, Alexa and a private desk area in the room to leverage the high speed WiFi network.brThere is a full bathroom just off the private hallway with shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and wash clothes. This is a getaway for any seasons. One bedroom w/ loft family cabin located on 16 wooded acres in NW Brown County. Great for families and weekend getaways!brbrVery secluded, peaceful -- beautiful in all seasons. Big front porch and the property is full of wildlife. brbrI've owned this family cabin for 25 years and regularly use it with my kids and friends. It's a second home I've tried to make the spaces for comfortable. Nice beds, huge deck, fantastic front porch, cozy living area. brbrI have a large kitchen with modern conveniences -- convection oven/stove, microwave, new fridge, good cookware, dishwasher (the kountry moveable type), coffee maker & keurig, electric skillet, crock pot, Weber grills, random spices, etc. I stay at short term rentals myself I hate dealing with a lousy kitchen -- that won't be a problem.brbrI adore music and if you do to, it's a fun experience. The house is wired so speakers on the deck and porch. I have 50K tunes on iTunes, on my computer. I have a turntable and 400 LP records.. The stereo has bluetooth so you can play your own music quite easily. There are also two guitars -- if you play, enjoy these.brbrThere's a wood-burning stove which is wonderful to run during the cold months. Likely required in the Dec/Jan. Firewood is provided. Upstairs and downstairs have good AC through a recent mini-split unit. There's a large, covered front porch with overhead fans, which is where I spend a lot of my time.brbrThe cabin has fiber -- very fast internet. We have two smart TVs and two DVD players, stereo (already noted), a windows laptop connected to the stereo. brbrThe bath is nice -- shower insert, pedestal sink, etc. brbrOne note -- this is a cabin deep in the woods. While we do everything we can to mitigate the native pests -- we still get native pests! Mice and some bugs are an occasional feature, as much as I try...brbrThis is a 35 year old cabin, built from a design by Poole Saw Mill in Helmsburg, IN. It's poplar log that was laid green and seasoned in-place for two years. Then finished. The man who built it, Daniel, is Amish and did a nice job. He lived on the property for about for about five years and there are several charming outbuildings -- an outhouse, manger, canning shed, chicken coop and a little structure on the 'back forty'. Daniel lived in that crazy structure out back for a couple years with his wife and two kids while he was developing the property! I added a big barn and the large rear deck in 2001.
