An hour and a half beautiful mountainous drive from Ashville, NC. The house is located adjacent to Devil's Fork State Park, and guests have access to all the park has to offer. The house is behind the entrance to the park, which makes it and the park accessible even when the park is declared full by the Rangers.brbrPlease be aware that, like many locations near mountains and lakes, we are “out in the woods.” With that closeness to nature you also will encounter some critters. There are bears, armadillos, etc. on and near the property. Please be especially mindful when bringing pets with you. You’ll also likely encounter smaller creatures such as the seasonal ladybug swarms in Oct-Nov, and “no-see-ums” in the summer.
