This 7-bedroom house is perfect for your escape from the hustle and bustle of life whether it's just you and loved one or your entire extended family, this house has it all. With 1.25 acres, a swimming pool, 6 queen beds and 1 set of twin beds, this brilliant property offers a peaceful retreat with lots of rooms to gather for family connection and to disconnect from the world. Take a morning stroll around the outlet pond or sit along the large bank of windows in the living room and enjoy your morning coffee. You will quickly learn why we named this house Sunekrest as the sun rises in the east and comes up right through these big beautiful windows making every day feel like a new opportunity and fresh start. br We have stocked the house with almost everything we can think of to make your stay easy and enjoyable. All linens, including duvet covers, are changed between each visitor. All bath towels are stored in the hall closets on each floor and easily accessible. Please know your towels are clean and fresh when stored in the closet and you can use them as you need. A washing machine is located on the 1st floor.br The kitchen is fully stocked and you should be able to make any dish your heart desires. Serving platters and big serving bowls are available for your use. These are stored in the vintage buffet under the big starburst mirror. Ceramic dishware for indoor dining and melamine dishware for outdoor poolside dining is provided. There is a dishwasher and garbage disposal as well. Enjoy your morning coffee with either the french press or Mr. Coffee. There is an electric tea kettle to heat water quickly as well. Salt, pepper and spices are available to use. You may want to stop at the grocery store prior to arrival since the closest market is Hurley's Market which is 25 min away in Dushore or Mountain Fresh Market in Hunlock Creek which is 45 min away in the other direction. br br Please note there is no AC at this property. There are 7 fans, one for each room. Originally a tavern and bar, established in the 1940's, The MacKay has since been converted into a fun, comfortable, slightly rustic, house that sleeps up to 12 people. A highlight of our house is it's original bar which is situated in the large game room. The bar seats 6 people and a 2nd refrigerator is conveniently locate right next to the bar. Here you can enjoy watching family and friends play pool or pinball. If that is not enough, for added indoor fun there are an assortment of board games provided, including the ever popular game of Monopoly. br brOutside you will find additional space for entertaining on our large deck where there's plenty of seating, tables and a gas grill. Steps lead off the deck to a large, private, back yard where you will find a large fire pit, surrounded by big boulders, for seating, and an additional stone barbecue grill. The yard is very flat so it's perfect to play croquet or corn hole, which are provided for guests to enjoy. brbrAlso located on the first floor is the eat-in kitchen, dining room and living room with a large screen television and comfortable seating to allow for great get togethers with friends and family. Additionally, 2 bedrooms are located on the first floor so if stairs are an issue for a guest this makes our house a perfect fit. One bedroom has a king sized bed, carpeted floor and the other bedroom has full-sized bed with French doors that open up directly onto the deck. Also located on the first floor is a half bath and a full bath with a shower stall. A laundry nook with a washer & dryer, shelving for towels and pantry storage is located off the kitchen.brbrThe second floor consists of a master bedroom with a queen sized bed & TV with DVD player. Gorgeous bathroom, kitchen bar, two burner induction stove, mini freestanding oven on the back counter, Bosch dishwasher, Sharp microwave drawer, Nespresso machine, regular coffee machine , Magic bullet, electric tea kettle, and blender. The barn has a private outdoor shower with a dressing room on the back of the property, as well as a new wood burning fire pit, (wood and starters provided) Deck off the two sets of French doors has a table and two chairs two lounge chairs with umbrellas and a propane grill. Great sound system and a 55 inch Samsung smart TV (no cable sorry) . Recently installed shared gym on the lower level ( in one of the garage bays) with a stationary bike. Our home is located in the idyllic Eagles Mere Park, an easy walk to Eagles Mere Lake. Bring your bikes, and you may not need to get into your car the entire visit! Our family home has wonderful porches, including a lovely screened-in porch looking out on the woods, a newly-renovated kitchen, and plenty of lawn space for pick-up games.brbrEagles Mere Lake is a privately-owned lake that is open to renters of Stay Put cottage for a fee. Upon booking, we would be happy to send you a link to the Eagles Mere Lake Association for a temporary lake membership, which we highly recommend.
