Below that is an easy to use propane fireplace (Turned off during Summer). Games located in the built-ins and guests will find a getaway guide which includes comprehensive information on the property and local area. Opposite corner of the living room you will find cozy dining room for 4 adjacent to the rear entry and spiral stairs.brbrAside the dining room is full bathroom with a sliding glass enclosure. If you take the spiral stairs up you will enter the loft. This holds a Full and a Twin bed, while a desk is also available to get some work done if needed. The loft also has it`s own mini-split for heat/AC. The master bedroom below holds a Queen bed with a small closet behind the entrance door.brbrJust through the rear door is the outside space. This may be one of the best aspects of the property. There is a chimenea right outside the backdoor perfect for roasting marshmallows and hanging out. The rear yard and Game Shed are fully fenced in which is perfect for children or your four legged friends. Everything in the home is new, and you are a short distance to skiing, the lake, river, and more. We look forward to having you.brbrTree Haven was built in 2021. Everything is new and clean and inviting. The kitchen is large and has plenty of room for cooking. There are stocked small appliances, such as a hand mixer, waffle maker, toaster, and a blender. There are three coffee makers: a drip pot, a single cup for pods, and a French press. There is also a tea kettle. We have some various coffees and teas stocked, or bring your favorite. brbrThe main level has approximately 1800 sq ft, the basement is finished and has approximately 1400 SQ ft. brbrThe yard is fenced, please note, there are some gaps in the fencing where the gates are, so very small dogs should still be supervised at all times. Please remember this is forest country, and there are a variety of wild life abound, especially deer, but you may also see large birds of prey, rabbit, fox, skunk, possum, or even a black bear. Please do not feed the wildlife and maintain your distance. brbrThe hot tub is new and can hold 6 people at a time. brbrWe also have a large fire pit set up for relaxing with friends and family or making s'mores. brbrOur location is privately set, surrounded by trees, yet also centrally located and close to the towns of Hawley and Honesdale. brbrEvery bedroom has a TV with a Roku streaming device. You can easily log in to any of your favorite apps, or watch something from one of the plentiful Roku channels. brbrIf you visit us in the summer, we are just 12 minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack, the 3rd largest motorboating lake in Pennsylvania. We are also just minutes away from the Lackawaxen River and Delaware River where you can go rafting or kayaking. There are also multiple golf courses nearby, including Woodloch Springs, which is just five minutes away. brbrIf you visit us in the winter, we have an indoor wood stove and we have plenty of wood stocked. There is also skiing just 15 minutes away at Ski Big Bear.brbrThe lower level is fully finished and has board games, as well as a basketball game. One of the couches is a pull out mattress if you need some extra sleeping spots.brbrThe whole house is available for use. There are a couple of owner's closets that are locked that are utility areas. There is a fenced yard, with a large deck, fire pit, and hot tub. The garage is locked and is for owner use only. The home is located on over two acres, and set back off the road. The owners live nextdoor on the neighboring 7.8 acre property, so there is a nice privacy buffer, but we are nearby in case you need anything. brbrIf you plan to visit as a couple, we can accommodate for special rates if you only want first floor access. The basement can be locked off. The main level contains 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The finished basement has another bedroom and bathroom, and game area. As a couple you would still have access to the yard with fire pit and hot tub.brbrWe live right next door in the neighboring 7.8 acre property, but we are set back enough to still allow for privacy. This family oriented home has 3BR& a very large LOFT + 2 FULL baths! brbrThere is a washer&dryer in the basement. The well equipped kitchen is big enough to comfortably allow several cooks in at once w/lots of counter space & a big DR table to very comfortably seat 8.brbrOur home is lakefront, located on Lake Wallenpaupack in Hawley, PA which is about 2 hours from NYC. Look out the wall of windows to beautiful views of the giant lake. We also have drapes if you wish to close them at night. Lake Wallenpaupack (15 mi long) allows powerboats &jet skis, unlike the smaller lakes in PA which only allow non-powerboats. Bring your own boat or you can rent pontoon boats &speed boats for the day &park them at our dock (there are 3 large cleats & a few bumpers, but please bring your own ropes and bumpers). There are public (Mangan) &private launches (Seeleys) very close by. brbrAIR CONDITIONING brAlthough the window air conditioner &ceiling fan in the loft kept the whole house cool if the doors were kept shut, we had CENTRAL AIR installed in the spring of 2022! We have vents throughout the first floor. We are keeping the window air conditioner in the loft window as a backup & leaving fans in each room as well for your comfort.brbrFURNITURE brA new blue couch and love seat arrived in April 2022 along with an end table with Boo Boo the bear holding onto the end table. We added the Winnie the bear end table in 2023.brbrThe whole back of the house is windows so the view of the lake is great! brOn the deck there are views in front and on the side of the house of the lake. Enjoy a game night on the DR table or outside on the deck or enjoy the fire pit down near the water.brbrEasy, gentle and short /path to the patio with firepit (new 2025), lake & dock. We supply several chairs for your use on the patio & dock.brbrRelax and/or dine on the very large deck w/a new large 64 inch cast iron square table with seating for 8. Order in or cook on the Weber grill (August 2020) A picnic table for your use is also included as are two lounge chairs. brbrBring your streaming apps id/pw. We have a 50 inch ROKU TV in the family room for you to enjoy in the evening if you desire w/lots of apps loaded for you to use w/your own id/pw. (Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, Youtube, etc.). We also supply some adult and kid board games, puzzles and books for your enjoyment. brbrFIRST FLOOR brNice entryway to leave your shoes, jackets, etc.brbrGood size kitchen w/a cabinet and a pantry for your food. Queen bed, 2 small chest of drawers for your clothes. Hangers and hooks behind the door. br2. Bedroom with a full size bed, dresser and closet. brbrBetween the 2 bedrooms is a Full bath with tub.brbrSECOND FLOORbrQueen bedroom with a large linen closet with extra blankets, pillows, sheets, etc. and empty drawers for your clothes. brbrFull bath with a shower brbrVery Large Loft with two trundles. You can make 2 king size beds, one from each trundle. Two small dressers for your clothes. brbrBasement with washer and dryer and laundry detergent.brFoosball tablebrbrOutside is a hammock to relax & enjoy during the summer time. Feel free to use the tubes & noodles that we leave. You may wish to bring arm floaties & life jackets for young children or those that can't swim. brbrWe will supply 2 kayaks if you desire in season (June 1-September). Although we have a few life vests, we suggest you bring your own to be sure they fit properly. brbrThere is a firepit on the patio. Bring your own wood/kindling, matches. In the winter, cozy on up to the propane fireplace. Turn on with a press of a button. It gives off a good amount of heat & has a nice ambiance.brbrWe put out one set of bed linens on each bed. Make the beds you need but no need to wash them at the end of your stay! Leave the bed unmade & we will take them off & wash them! Leave the folded sheets on the beds you didn't use. There are extra sheets & blankets & pillows if you need them in the linen closet in the upstairs bedroom. brbrSorry but we do not supply any bath or lake or hand towels (except for the kitchen).brbrLake Wallenpaupack is owned by Brookfield renewable, a hydroelectric plant powered by the water. The level of the lake varies. In June the water level & the beginning of the gangway and dock usually start very close to the bottom of the stairs. As the water level goes up or down, the dock gets moved out away from the property or moved closer to the property by our dock maintenance person. brbrThe water level changes, thus the location of the dock changes as well. brWe recommend water shoes especially for kids, since the bottom of the lake is made of slate.brbrOur docks will be put in by May 1 and removed after Oct 31. If you wish to rent before May 1 or after Oct 31 and would need/want the dock, please reach out & it may be possible to get the dock in earlier or leave in later than Oct 31.br------------------------------------------------------------------------------------brbrThis is a family oriented area. No parties, no events! Do not have more people over, even just for a day visit - they must be on the contract & total number of people must be 8 or less per our HOA, the town & our septic. This is a no tolerance policy. You will be evicted with no refunds including your security if the neighbors report excessive noise or we find out there are more than 8. THIS PROPERTY HAS EXTERNAL CAMERAS FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR PROPERTY. No street parking. A maximum of 4 cars (or one trailer with car attached and 2 other cars) are allowed on the property. brbrGarbage is not allowed to be stored outside or it will attract bears nor should it be stored in any room of the house so it does not attract bugs. It needs to be disposed of in a dumpster just down the road a bit.brbrCancellation policy: Please get trip insurance in case you or anyone in your party gets ill (or for any other reason) & cannot come.
