The restoration is in the final phases and this beautiful home is ready for life again after sitting empty for 20+ years. brSUMMER 2025 - We are currently scraping, power washing, sanding the exterior of the house between guests in preparation for a new paint job. So, the house might be in various stages of painting. brbr IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, THIS IS NOT THE HOUSE FOR YOU. This is a historic colonial house with tight steep stairs and some low doorways and ceilings. Both sets of steps have a corkscrew turn in them. Not recommended for toddlers/young children due to steep steps. Older children should be able to navigate the steps. We are located just outside the city limits but you would never know the city was right around the corner with the solitude of the house. Come sit on the porch and watch the birds and listen to the trickling of water. Sit in the spring room and relax and watch the water bubbling out of the ground. (closed in winter) NOT A PARTY HOUSE, OWNER IS ON SITE brIf the house is ready, you can check in at 3pm, please contact me if you wish to check in before 4pm.brIf you see blocked days at the beginning and end of a block, you can reach out to confirm if the house is available if you want one of those days. It helps us get through the cleaning process quicker and allows me to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.brbr*AMENITIES: - The easiest way to disrupt an enjoyable stay is a plumbing problem. To prevent this, we kindly ask you to please place things like sanity napkins in the sanitary bin we’ve provided in the bathroom. We simply want to ensure you have a royal flush kind of holiday :)brbr*ELECTRICITY: - To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and the A/C or heating when it’s not in use or leaving the house. Mother nature thanks you too.brbr*SECURITY: - To ensure full safety of my guest’s belongings, please keep the front door locked as a precautionary measure. Whilst being one of the safe areas of town, I want to ensure every guest stay remains problem free, and this is just one small + simple thing we’re able to do to ensure that.brbr*ACCESS: - Please help avoid problems for everybody and stay out of locked closets and cabinets.brbr*NOISE: - To be considerate to the other residents/guests, I kindly ask to keep things on the quieter-side after 10 pm. Have your morning coffee watching the horses graze (weather permitting).brbrThe lower level apartment is 100% your space, about 550 sq ft. Beautiful space with living room, bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom.brbrWe have 16 acres of rolling hills you can take a walk on. At your request we have corn hole, ladder ball and croquet. brbrWe have horses and we can get one out for you to pet and maybe brush, but no rides. If you want to see a horse please bring closed toes shoes for around them, no sandles. Dont go in the barn without us. ThanksbrbrPlease dont pet or feed the horses unless we are present. Horses are amazing creatures and all the horses that live here are kind but they have a mind of their own and can be dangerous. Thanksbrbr
