For the first time ever, we are renting our family home in Sea Bright, NJ for the 2023 summer season. Named by Thrill-list as one of the best small towns in America Sea Bright is located just 1 hour from NYC/Hoboken and features a variety of gourmet restaurants, bars, recreational activities and boutique shopping. The house is located on Ocean Avenue, with the beach across the street and the Shrewsbury River down the block. brNewly renovated, 4 bedrooms/3 baths (sleeps 10), parking for 4, two separate living areas, an oversized fenced-in grass yard w/outdoor deck, gas grill, outdoor shower and a garage filled w/surf boards, boogie boards, fishing poles, paddle board, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, ping-pong table, bikes and more.  Beach access is directly across the street; no passes required. Note, this area of Sea Bright is not lifeguarded (life vests and swimmies in the garage too!). The town lifeguarded beach is less than 3/4 mile down the road. Sandy Hook State Park is also just a short bike ride away and features numerous ocean and bay beaches for swimming, fishing and boating. Weekly rentals begin June 30th (Friday to Friday) through August 18. Monthly or Weekly rentals available in the offseason too.

All of the beds have been outfitted with hybrid coil spring/memory foam mattress and hotel-style bedding to give you a comfortable night's sleep.brBEACH The Beachside includes 7 beach badges, chairs, umbrellas, and towels. Beach access is located right across the street. brTHE HISTORY The Beachside was built in 1904 as a summer home for wealthy New Yorkers who took the Long Branch Steamboat Co. ferry to Highlands, and then the Central Railroad train down what is now Ocean Avenue to reach Sea Bright. They designed a beautiful foyer entry with oversized moldings, 6' double pocket doors opening to a Parlor for relaxing, and a back hall leading to a smoking room for the men (upstairs you will find a second smoking room used by the women). Their main living space was the large opulent dining room with tin ceilings and intricate details located in the center of the home. In classic Victorian style, the rear entry, kitchen, and back stairs leading to the second and third floors were used by the servants, while the front of the home was reserved for the owners. The back bedroom on the second floor was used as a servant's living room, and they slept on the third floor. Today all of those spaces have been restored while maintaining their original charm, and they are all yours to enjoy.
