A few steps above you will find a nice spacious covered deck with a ceiling fan and outdoor dining set that overlooks the pool and lake, it is wonderful for enjoying the scenery while eating, drinking or simply relaxing.brbr From the deck you enter your private retreat of over 1750 sq. ft. our spacious and beautiful home on the lower level which is the closest to the pool, lake and an outdoor kitchen with bar with a gas grill, electric smoker, and refrigerator. brThe home has a large open split floor plan with the kitchen, dining and living room that overlooks the pool and lake. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, including a Keurig and a regular coffee pot, along with a large high top dining table/bar with seating for your whole family. brbrThe living room has a cozy rustic lake style gas fireplace and comfortable sofas and two recliners for relaxing and watching the large 55 TV with cable and DVD player, there is also a chest full of DVDs, games and books for everyone. The house is close to the water with very few steps to the dock. There are times, especially in the off season, when the silence is almost deafening. It is convenient to both metro Birmingham and Atlanta.brThe secluded cove provides quiet privacy and protection from many of the waves on the main channel, allowing for a swimming or floating spot. It also provides quick and easy access to both marinas for all your boating needs. Several Wedowee dining spots, grocery/drug stores as well as the hospital are just a few minutes away. There are also two boat ramps nearby, one adjacent to the property. Bedrooms provide space for up to 17. We fell in love with this lot because it has year-round deep water, but it's at the end of a cove where you can swim all day and not worry about boats going by. We designed the house around the dream of a great family and friends getaway. brThere are 5 bedrooms that have king-sized beds, 4 of which have private bathrooms. There are 2 bunk rooms, one with 8 twin beds and one with 2 queens and 2 twins. There is one more bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed. 6 of the bedrooms have amazing views of the lake. brThe large kitchen should easily meet your needs with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, a double oven, and a microwave. There are two living spaces with fireplaces and another space for ping pong with bar seating and a wet bar. There is also a theater room. brThere is a screened-in porch off the main floor, a private deck off the master, and a large patio with additional decking off the ground floor. Our home is located on the Big Tallapoosa River, not far from hwy. 48 bridge. We have over 250 feet of water front in a quiet cove. Our private boat dock has lounge chairs, an umbrella upstairs, a boat slip, and a sitting area down below. The neighborhood BOAT LAUNCH is RIGHT across the street! The main level of our home is a large area with dining table and chairs as well as a bar height counter with stools. Another section is devoted to watching the flat screen TV while resting on the leather sofa and other comfortable chairs. The kitchen is also on this level with high end stainless appliances. We have almost everything you could need in a kitchen: mixer, cookie sheets, slow cooker. There is a full bathroom on this level with tile floors and granite counter tops.brbrThis main level consists of 3 walls of windows and hickory hardwood floors. There are French doors leading from this level onto the covered deck facing the lake. There are chairs for shaded sitting while watching the fishing, skiing and swimming going on. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom is quite large with a laundry room and walk in closet. There is a king size bed, large leather recliner and a flat screen TV as well as a wardrobe for clothing. This room has windows facing the lake and French doors leading to a patio. The second bedroom has a full bed and a set of twin beds. The door between the full bedroom and the twin beds will close for additional privacy. This room also has French doors exiting onto the patio. brbrThe outdoor area has an outdoor stereo system, table and chairs for dining as well as Pottery Barn sofas for entertaining or napping and a new Weber gas grill. The walk to the lake is short (64' from house) and easy with a wooden boardwalk all the way to the private covered pier and large covered floating dock. There is even a private boat ramp on the property for launching your boat as well. Enjoy evenings lakeside by the firepit or swinging on the porch.brbrAt Captain Cook's you will find all the towels, linens, dishes, cookware and utensils you will need. We have gone the extra mile to make sure the kitchen is fully equipped. A gently-sloping path leads to the water, where you can fish from the dock, float in the cove, or venture forth on our paddleboards to explore miles of undeveloped coastline. Read a book, take a nap, or watch the sun set and the moon rise from the queen-size, hanging bed swing in the lakeside Lunar Lounge. If boating is your thing, rent a pontoon from nearby Wedowee Marina South, or launch your own boat from the neighboring public boat ramp and tie up right at our dock. After a full day of playing on the lake, gather around the 9-foot farm table for cards and board games, then head to the firepit to grill smores. Just steps away beckons the outdoor hot tub with beautiful lake views, where you can submerge and stargaze the night away. brbrThe main level of the home consists of an open family room with a large sectional, 9-foot farm table, kitchen, master bedroom with ensuite bath, and 2 guest bedrooms served by a separate guest bathroom.
